The season for summer camps in Central Asia is coming to an end. More than two weeks of intense activities at the shores of a lake, 30 relentless heores including three of our missionaries saw fruit of their labor. 300 hearts had the good seed of the gospel planted. 50 of these decided to follow Jesus and are now a part of the triumphant, yet sometimes still suffering, church of Central Asia.
At least two thirds of our ateendees were muslims. This required a lot of wisdom from the team with regards to how to approach each different moment of the camp. It is a great risk to organize projects such as these once it is allowed to be a christian but you’re not allowed to preach or have any other form of ministry that involves religious teaching to minors.
However the message that at first was subtly shared with the games, devotionals ,workshops and talks during free time by their friends started to shine forth and be proclaimed in the final days of the camp. We praise God for the courage of these christians that have been taking risks to invest in the lives of each one of these littles ones. We also want to thank each of our partners that embraced the campaign “More than a summer” and sponsored the trip of many of these participants.
Pray with us for these seeds that were sowed, for the safety of this bold team and they may see the fruits of this work for the Glory of God. If you’d like to invest in project such as this and in expanding His Kingdom click here to see our new campaign.
