After some immediate responses to earthquake in Nepal we have finally arrive to plant our base in partnership with other local christian organizations. Our missionaries have been placed in Kathmandu and will live and manage a boy’s orphanage in the capital. After some time for adaptation they will begin their trips to the interior of the country where the damage and losses in April were more intense.
In the mean time they are taking Nepali lessons to learn the spoken language and engage more personally with the boys at the orphanage. One of the ideas is to start music lessons for the children and teach them basic musical foundation. We have also began to plan to help them with tutoring and regular physical activity – all with the support of the local community. We also have the desire to start bible lessons to the children.
Pray for their monthly support and for this initial time of adaption. We also lift our prayers for the Nepali lessons and for our missionaries as they build relationship with the children at the orphanage. Pray with us for the projects that are being developed in Kathmandu and the provinces of Dolahkka and Sindhupalchowk where we’ll be travelling to in the near future.
