This upcoming August MORE in partnership with the Evangelical Church Light of the World will start the construction of a Support Center for Refugees inside the refugee camp in the Rwamwanja camp, Uganda. This will allow us to start new projects and give a better support to the community that we have directly been involved with. Our plans is to have the center open before the end of 2015.
The support house will be a space for community development classes – to attend and provide assistance to the 53 thousand refugees. Congolese make up the majority of the displaced due to the on going conflicts in their nation. We are also hoping to have HealthCare teams visit the center for medical assistance as well as to teach basic hygienes to the families.
Rwamwanja refugee camp is considered to be one of the poorest camps in the world and has only one medical clinic and very little basic infrastructure. There are more than 40 churches planted throughout the camp and we believe that by working with the Body of Christ we will be able to transform the reality of our brothers and sisters. Once they have been strengthened they will share their powerful testimonies with others. Click here and find out how you can become a partner with us in this incredible journey.
