Less than a month ago we officially started our base in Guinea Bissau. A missionary couple from MORE will be ahead of the work. In the little time we’ve been there we have been thrilled to watch how God has been leading all that has been done. Our vision is to move forward the work of the Ministry “Daughers of Sara” which was merged into MORE back in 2013 and works specifically with women of the suffering church.
Our missionaries have started crioulle classes – the most widely spoken language in the region – they are also participating in a course promoted by the Catholic Mission of Bissau about missionary integration in the field. The course is happening all throughout august and has topics such as local culture and history of Guinea Bissau.
We have also pursued relationship and more partnerships with the community wich have shown promise to bear fruits. We are still looking for a bigger house for our project with girls that have been rescued from trafficking and abuse. The home will host six girls that are already part of the project and our team of missionaries, both natives and brazilians.
Join us in prayer for this new base and for our missionaries. Pray for these girls that have been saved from forced marriage, mutilation and horrible situations and pray that together we’ll be God’s hand of restoration in their lives. If you’d like to invest in all that has been happening with our projects consider partnering with MORE.
